Phobia Therapy

Animals in Hands & Phobias

Safe & Supportive Phobia Workshops

Phobias of snakes, spiders, or rodents are incredibly common and can feel overwhelming. At Animals in Hands, we believe that understanding is the first step toward bravery. Our sessions are designed to help you move from fear to fascination in a calm, controlled environment.

How Can We Support You?

Whether you’re struggling with a mild fear or a lifelong phobia, we’re here to help.
what we do

Our "No-Pressure" Promise

Zero Pressure

You will never be forced to touch or be near an animal if you aren't ready. Everything is at your own pace.

Expert Guidance

Our facilitators are highly experienced in animal behaviour and human reassurance.

You Set the Pace

Whether you stay across the room or eventually hold the animal, you are in total control.

Animal Care

The Three-Step Session Plan

Learn exactly what to expect during your session, helping you feel relaxed and prepared.

Step 1: Visual Introduction
(The Safe Distance)

"We start with the animal safely in its enclosure, learning about its behaviour and personality in a calm, relaxed environment.

Step 2: Observation
(The Comfort Zone)

The facilitator brings the animal out. We observe its movements from a distance that feels safe to you. We answer every question you have.

Step 3: Interaction
(The Choice)

Only if and when you feel ready, we move closer. This might mean touching a tail, a shell, or eventually letting the animal rest in your hands.

Building resilience

Who is this for?

Our animal-assisted phobia sessions can be tailored to a wide range of people and organisations, providing a safe, supportive environment to build confidence and overcome fear.

Helping children grow in confidence and learn empathy for “scary” creatures.
